Tara has been working as a social worker in the medical system since 2009 in the field of mental health and addictions. With an intense passion and belief in humankind, she began at a grassroots level on the streets of Calgary working with the most vulnerable and marginalised. In 2013 while birthing her beautiful son, Tara suffered a traumatic and painful nerve injury. She sought out on a path to recovery; moving to the Kootenays, and studying chronic pain management.
Tara and Dr Kailia have offered over 100 KAP sessions and are members of the KAPANA (ketamine assisted psychotherapists of north america).

Most extended health benefits plans offer coverage. Each plan is different please check with your provider regarding your counselling coverage for Tara. If you been a victim of a crime such as sexual abuse you may be eligible for benefits through victims assistance (call victim services within the province where the crime was committed for more details). Veteran affairs also offer coverage for sessions with Tara.
If you do not have any coverage Tara also offers a sliding scale for her sessions charging $90-120 per hour.
